State Representative Dave Yaccarino (R-North Haven) was recently recognized for his exceptional voting record in support of both Connecticut businesses and workers.

The Connecticut Business and Industry Association (CBIA), which represents thousands of large and small employers in the Constitution State, recently gave Yaccarino a 100% score on its annual State House Voting Record Scorecard.

Lawmakers were judged based on their support for policies that create jobs and bring businesses to Connecticut, as well as their opposition to job-killing taxes and harmful mandates.

“I am very grateful to be recognized by CBIA with this perfect score, but I know that Connecticut has much work to do before our state can be perceived as ‘business friendly’. My own goals will continue to be focused on fostering job growth, thinking outside the box, supporting small businesses, fighting for pro-business and pro-taxpayer policies,” said Rep Yaccarino.

This year, Rep. Yaccarino opposed Democrats’ attempts to hike the income tax, the gas tax, and a tax on health insurance premiums. He also opposed a proposed new statewide house tax.

“I encourage the people of North Haven to contact me at Dave.Yaccarino@housegop.ct.gov. I welcome input from the people and businesses in the 87th District and especially appreciate their thoughts and ideas for future legislation to help grow jobs, create new industries in Connecticut and make improvements where necessary,” added Rep. Yaccarino.

CBIA’s policy initiatives feature a number of the bills, with recommendations designed to help businesses manage the high costs of navigating COVID-19 restrictions, to create and retain jobs, and lead Connecticut’s economic recovery.
