STAND DOWN 2016

I wanted to let you know about a great veterans event happening this week. Stand Down is a one day event held by the Connecticut Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) that offers veterans assistance in applying for benefits from a variety of sources, including the state and federal government, and private organizations.
There is free bus transportation provided at designated areas throughout the state. Please visit DVA’s website for this information.
If you are a veteran in need of assistance, I encourage you to attend, and if you know a veteran who could use help in applying for benefits, please help me spread the word about Stand Down to them or anyone else who would benefit from attending.
