During a regular meeting at the Legislative office Building recently, State Representative Dave Yaccarino (R-87) began his service on the legislature’s Select Committee on Veterans’ Affairs.
Rep. Yaccarino, who served in the U.S. Naval Reserve, was appointed to fill a vacancy on the committee by House Minority leader Larry Cafero. The Veterans’ Committee is responsible for reporting on any bill it deems necessary concerning military and veterans’ affairs.
“I am deeply honored to have been chosen to serve on the Veterans’ Affairs Committee,” Rep. Yaccarino said. “As a veteran of our armed forces I have a strong connection to the men and women who have served, and are currently serving, our country and I believe this committee assignment will allow me to impact their lives in a truly meaningful way.”
