On Wednesday April 30th 2014 State Rep. Dave Yaccarino, ranking member of the Veteran’s Committee, attended the Help-A-Hero event at the state capitol in Hartford.

Yaccarino donated several health care and hygiene items which will benefit veterans at the South Park Inn Veteran Drop-In Center.

“I am always eager to do what I can to support those who have served our country so honorably.” He continued, “As a legislator, I am trying to do my part to help our Veterans, currently we have passed H.B. 5299 which now awaits approval in the senate. This bill will give Veterans a better chance of finding a job with the experience they gained from their training and military service.”

Columbus House located on 586 Ella T. Grasso Blvd, in New Haven, Ct., is another not-for-profit organization the Yaccarino is working with to further help the homeless in Connecticut.
