For the second straight year State Representative Dave Yaccarino (R-87) achieved a perfect one-hundred-percent voting record during the regular 2012 Legislative Session. The House Clerk’s Office released the data on members’ votes this week.
This year Rep. Yaccarino voted on each of the 304 separate pieces of legislation that made it to the floor of the House of Representatives. During his first year in office Rep. Yaccarino cast his vote on each of 381 bills. Perfect attendance is a very difficult thing to achieve, with less than 20% of House members able to do so this year.
“When I was elected I said I would do my absolute best to make sure the people of North Haven were represented in Hartford and I’m proud to say I was able to do that for two straight years,” Rep. Yaccarino said. “I believe in the power of state government and I’m happy I can be a part of a dedicated legislature working to make our community and our state a better place.”
Yaccarino, who represents the 87th district in the General Assembly, serves on the legislature’s Select Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, Insurance and Real Estate, Public Safety, and Higher Education and Employment Advancement committees.
The next regular session of the legislature will convene in February 2012.
