Lawmakers Ringing Bells to Help Raise Money for Families in Need

HARTFORD – State Representatives Steve Weir (R-55) and Jill Barry (D-31) will be volunteering their time to help raise money for local families this holiday season by ringing bells as part of the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign.

    WHEN: Tuesday, December 19
WHERE: Stop & Shop, 55 Oak Street, Glastonbury
    TIME: 3:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

The campaign which began in 1891, raises millions of dollars each year during the holiday season. All donations made during these collections will stay directly in the community. The money collected will help provide meals, shelter, toys, clothing, and many other services to families in need throughout the year.

The representatives welcome all area residents to stop by and help make the fundraising event a success. If you are unable to make an in-person contribution on December 19, but would still like to donate, you can do so by clicking here.
