As I continue meeting with new businesses throughout the district, I had an opportunity this morning to tour the Hospital for Special Care’s new Neuromuscular Center located in Hebron.
The hospital which opened in mid-July, offers a variety of outpatient services, which includes nerve conduction studies (used to diagnose and treat carpal tunnel syndrome, Guillain-Barré syndrome) and advanced electromyography (EMG) procedures. These procedures are used to diagnose various conditions that affect the muscles and nerves
Another positive about the location of this facility in Eastern Connecticut is that residents from our area who once had to travel significantly further to receive these types of treatments, can now do so much closer to their home.
Thank you to Crista F. Durand, Chief Executive Officer and President, for showing Sen. Osten and I around and teaching me more about the valuable services and assistance you provide.
