During today’s Labor Committee meeting, I made a few comments in support of SB-831, a proposal that would allow amusement parks to hire individuals fourteen years old to perform nonhazardous jobs (cashiers, clerical work, ticket sales and concession sales).
I think this bill provides a good opportunity for our young people to learn about work ethic, gain some valuable job experience, and earn a little bit of extra money on the side.
