In-person constituent involvement is a vital part of the legislative process and something that I encourage more residents to participate in some form or another.
Today, Don Hoerman, a Hebron resident, and President of The Hospital Bed Project, a local nonprofit that specializes in selling low-cost hospital beds, signed up to testify in support of a bill that would exempt hospital beds for home health care from the sales and use tax.
I put forth HB-5962 not only due to Don’s advocacy, but to assist some of our most vulnerable residents who need to purchase these beds.
