Busy Thursday! Prior to the start of session, I began my morning at the Junior Achievement of Southwest New England Partners in Achievement Breakfast. This annual event celebrates the impact this program has had on students, educators, and the community. It also highlights the importance of, and need for, financial literacy and workforce readiness programs in schools.

In early afternoon, State Representative Jill Barry and I spoke with several manufacturers during the ConneCTion Fair held at the State Capitol. In its 8th year, this event brings together manufacturers and students from across our state to highlight the types of internships and job opportunities that are available to students who may be interested in pursuing a career in the industry.
