Prior to the start of today’s legislative session, I had an opportunity to talk with Michael Bloom, Executive Director at the Jewish Federation Association of Connecticut-JFACT during JFACT Advocacy Day. The association advocates for the Jewish community promoting religious, cultural, political and social freedoms enjoyed by all citizens.
I am proud to stand with my Jewish friends and colleagues against Jewish hate, intimidation, and antisemitism. I appreciate hearing from members of the Jewish community about how the current environment is causing safety concerns in their communities. I am optimistic that the vast majority of our citizens will stand up in the face of antisemitism to express their disapproval of these types of bullying tactics.
