346-2

With the legislative session officially underway, I wanted to share with you some of my committee assignments for 2025-2026. I will remain as the Ranking Member of the General Assembly’s Labor Committee, while also continuing to serve on the Higher Education and Housing Committees.
If you’re interested in learning more about these committees, you can find the information and links below.
A few of the issues the Labor Committee deals with are related to workers’ compensation, unemployment, minimum wages, labor unions and labor disputes; all matters relating to the Department of Labor; and all matters relating to conditions of employment of state and municipal employees and the substantive law of state and municipal employees’ collective bargaining.
The Higher Education and Employment Advancement Committee has cognizance of all matters relating to (A) the Board of Regents for Higher Education and the Office of Higher Education, and (B) public and independent institutions of higher education, private occupational schools, post secondary education, job training institutions and programs, apprenticeship training programs and adult job training programs offered to the public by any state agency or funded in whole or in part by the state.
The Housing Committee has cognizance of all matters relating to housing and housing programs.
