Woodstock Resident Inducted to CT Veterans Hall of Fame

Rocky Hill - Last evening, State Rep. Kurt Vail (R-Stafford) had the honor of attending the annual Connecticut Veterans Hall of Fame induction ceremony, held at the Veterans' Home in Rocky Hill. It's humbling to recognize Everett Shepard III of Woodstock (U.S. Army) for his induction to the hall.
Everett Shepard is also an example of someone our community can always look up to. He served in the U.S. Army from June 1967 to October 1970, as a military intelligence coordinator at the Army Intelligence School. From 1983 to 2005, he served the town of Woodstock part-time on the Board of Education, Board of Selectmen, and Board of Finance.
I also would like to share my appreciation for all of the other inductees, this ceremony is crucial in recognizes the men and women who have done so much for our state and nation. Thank you for your devoted service.
