2023 Legislative Session Convenes, Committee Process Begins

HARTFORD – State Rep. Kurt Vail was sworn into office on Wednesday, January 4, beginning another term representing the 52nd District, which is comprised of Somers, Stafford, Union, and Woodstock. Vail will serve as the Ranking Member to the Veterans Committee. Additionally, he will serve on the Aging and Public Safety committees.

The 2023 session will adjourn on Wednesday, June 7. Prior to adjournment the legislature must craft its two-year state budget.
