NEW FAIRFIELDState Representative Richard Smith (R-108) will be volunteering to raise money for local residents in need by collecting for the Salvation Army at the New Fairfield Stop and Shop on December 17th. All proceeds collected during the one hour of bell ringing will be donated directly to the Salvation Army.

Follow-Up Survey: DOT’s Next Generation of Rail Cars

As a follow up to the survey that I shared back in September, the Connecticut Department of Transportation (DOT) is looking for additional input on the state’s next generation of rail cars. They will be purchasing a fleet of new rail cars to replace their exiting push-pull coaches operating on the Hartford Line, Shore Line East, Danbury Line and Waterbury Line and want to know what you consider to be reliable, comfortable, attractive, and sustainable.
