State Rep. Joe Polletta joined Rep. Stephanie Cummings recently to speak about his role as a legislator with teens at the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Waterbury after-school program. The legislators gave a brief overview of their roles within the community before taking questions from the group.
The conversation and questions covered many topics, including the three branches of government, college and career choices and giving back to the community through volunteerism. Rep. Polletta stressed the importance of education and hard work as keys to success.
