State representative Joe Polletta and State Senator Eric Berthel recently hosted an informative town hall meeting at the Heminway Municipal Building for residents and constituents.  More than 2 dozen people attended the meeting to discuss the recently-ended legislative session and the upcoming session that convenes on Wednesday, February 7.

The topics of discussion were varied, with pedestrian safety along Main Street being on nearly everyone’s mind in the wake of the recent death of a long-time and well-respected member of the Watertown community. Other issues that were brought up included the Medicare Savings Program, grandparent’s rights, legalization of fireworks, and of course, the state budget deficit, and the overall health and direction of the state.
