Rep. Polletta Questions Need for Sales Tax Increase

Concerned about the impact to the people of Watertown, Oakville and Woodbury, Rep. Polletta questioned State Sen. Looney about the specifics of the Democrat plan to increase the state sales tax by one half of one percent – from 6.35% to 6.85% – during a public hearing before the legislature’s Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committee.
