I want to inform you of the upcoming hearing regarding Eversource’s rate increases and their response to Tropical Storm Isaias.
The legislature’s Energy and Technology Committee will host an informational hearing via zoom on August 27, 2020 at 10:30 a.m.
This hearing is expected to cover a far-ranging set of issues, from the role of state utility regulators and the process of setting rates, to utility staffing levels and how the companies communicate with customers and municipalities during outages. Top Eversource and United Illuminating executives will participate. While the public cannot participate in the hearing, email comments are encouraged.
