Small businesses and nonprofit organizations with less than 100 full-time employees may be able to benefit from the newly created Connecticut Small Business Boost Fund. The program provides low interest non-forgivable loans to approved applicants between $5,000 and $500,000 (subject to eligibility).

Loans totaling less than $150,000 will have a 60-month repayment period while those totaling more than $150,000 will have a 72-month repayment period. These loans can be used for payroll, equipment, utilities

HARTFORD – Connecticut Senate and House Republican Leaders are renewing their calls for a public hearing at the state Capitol on the proposed health insurance rate filings for the 2023 individual and small group markets, which include proposed rate increases averaging over 20%.

On Monday, Connecticut Republicans wrote to legislative leaders, Governor Lamont, and Insurance Department Commissioner Mais calling on them to hold a public hearing at the State Capitol complex on the proposed health insurance

BRISTOL – State Representatives Cara Pavalock-D’Amato (R-77), Whit Betts (R-78) and State Senator Henri Martin (R-31) are encouraging residents to ‘Retire Your Worn American Flags’ for a proper retirement. After numerous calls for change from House Republicans, the Office of the Treasurer has agreed to make it easier for people to reclaim their lost property from state control. Millions in unclaimed assets from forgotten bank accounts, uncashed checks or abandoned stocks and bonds, as well as unclaimed proceeds from life insurance policies winds up with the State of Connecticut.
