Today, I cast a vote on behalf all of the ratepayers in Bristol and across the state who are beyond frustrated with their sky-high electricity costs. Voting to reconfirm Marissa Gillett, Chairman of Connecticut’s Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) for another term is a vote for the status quo.
During her time as chairman, Gillett has unilaterally made decisions without the board, approved the longest shut-off moratorium in the country, and is currently holding back over $200 million in credits that Eversource is ready to pass on to customers.
She has proven time and time again that her decisions are not in the best interest of our ratepayers and it’s time for a change.
