Yesterday, I had the honor of joining some of my state and federal colleagues to acknowledge the service of a true local hero. As a highly decorated member of the United State Army Reserve, Chief Warrant Officer 5 Patrick Nelligan has dedicated his life to this country, so as he enters retirement it was only fitting that we collectively thank him for his service and dedication.
After leaving active duty in n1984, Patrick became a medical equipment repairman and served in Honduras and Guatemala where he provided medical equipment maintenance.
Currently, he is working alongside a doctor through a foundation he helped set up to combat post-military service suicide through the use of sleep studies. He truly is a remarkable person and it was a pleasure to recognize him!
