HARTFORD –The Connecticut Business and Industry Association (CBIA) has released their ‘2019 State House Voting Records’ annual report and State Representative Cara Pavalock-D’Amato (R-77) was recently awarded a 100% score by the organization for votes that support large and small businesses around the state.

Pavalock-D’Amato’s overall score was based on votes in committee or the House floor on a series of ‘key bills’ that would either positively or negatively impact Connecticut’s economic competitiveness and business climate.

Votes that support the business community’s position would reflect positively, while votes against will result in a lowered score. Some of the ‘key issues’ included; paid FMLA mandate, minimum wage, state-run healthcare, the state budget, and manufacturing jobs and careers to name a few.

“Small businesses are the backbone of our state and I do all that I can to help make Connecticut more business friendly,” Rep. Pavalock-D’Amato said.

Rep. Pavalock-D’Amato was one of only twenty-seven state representatives out of one hundred and fifty-one who received a perfect score from the association.

CBIA is Connecticut’s leading business organization with a membership comprised of hundreds of businesses around the state.
