Pavalock Sworn in, Prepares for First Term as State Rep

HARTFORD — State Representative Cara Christine Pavalock (R-77) of Bristol was sworn in today as state representative for the 77th General Assembly District.
Pavalock was among 19 other Republican freshmen who vowed to serve their districts over a two-year term. Pavalock states she is committed to improving the quality of life of Bristol residents by fighting for common sense policies that help businesses grow, thrive, and provide the job opportunities our state desperately needs.
“I am happy to be here, officially starting my first term, so that I may begin taking the necessary corrective steps towards protecting our senior citizens and those in the workforce,” Rep. Pavalock said.
For the 2015-2016 legislative term, House Republican Leader Themis Klarides appointed Pavalock to serve on the Aging Committee, Commerce Committee and Program Review & Investigations Committee.
Rep. Pavalock took the oath of office and was sworn in by Secretary of State Denise Merrill on Wednesday afternoon in the State House Chamber. She then participated in a Joint Convention of both the House of Representatives and Senate as Gov. Dannel Malloy addressed lawmakers about the 2015 Session.
