Pavalock, Martin Honor Bristol Eagle Scout
BRISTOL – State Rep. Cara Pavalock (R-77) and State Sen. Henri Martin (R-31) joined Boy Scout Troop 6, along with family and guests to honor Trevor Loomis Jones of Bristol, who earned the rank of Eagle Scout.
During the Eagle Court of Honor, Rep. Pavalock and Sen. Martin presented Jones with a citation on behalf of the Connecticut General Assembly, in recognition of his accomplishment.
“I offer my sincere congratulations to Trevor on his impressive achievement,” said Rep. Pavalock. “To earn the rank of Eagle Scout takes commitment and determination. Trevor has put in countless hours of hard work, both in his community and in the wilderness, earning 21 merit badges to advance to the rank of Eagle. I commend Trevor on his perseverance and dedication, and wish him much success.”
“We congratulate Trevor on this outstanding achievement,” Sen. Martin said. “We thank him for his dedication to our community, and we thank Troop 6 for the tremendous work it does to help mold our future leaders.”
The Eagle Scout Rank is the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scout program of the Boy Scouts of America. Since its introduction in 1911, the Eagle Scout Rank has been earned by more than 2 million young men. The title of “Eagle Scout” is held for life, hence the phrase “once an Eagle, always an Eagle”.
Requirements include earning a number of merit badges and demonstrating Scout spirit, service, and leadership. This includes an extensive service project that the Scout plans, organizes, leads, and manages.
The Boy Scout Troop 6- Bristol is led by Scoutmaster Jeremy Carothers.
Representative Pavalock represents the 77th District and the city of Bristol in the General Assembly.
