Pavalock Congratulates Veteran Earl ‘Red’ Dube

BRISTOL – State Rep. Cara Pavalock (R-77) joined local officials, veterans, and guests in honoring United States Army Veteran Earl ‘Red’ Dube for his military service in the Korean War and contributions to the community. Representative Pavalock presented Dube with a citation from the Connecticut General Assembly in acknowledgement of his achievements.

“It is my honor to congratulate Earl Dube on his impressive accomplishments,” said Pavalock. “His service in the Armed Forces and his continued service to the public clearly demonstrate Mr. Dube’s dedication to his country, to his family, and to his community.”
During the morning celebration at the Bristol Senior Center, fellow veterans, local officials (including both the present and former Mayors of Bristol), and members of the greater community spoke and gave testimony on the life and service of Dube.

Carol Denehy of the Bristol Memorial Military Museum read aloud some of Earl’s recorded experiences during the Korean War.
Dube was also honored by fellow veterans and long-time friends from the Bristol Veterans Council, American Legion Post 2, and the Korean War Veterans Association in recognition of his service.

Earl has been active with the Bristol American Legion Post 2 and the Korean War veterans group for many years. He is highly respected in the local veterans community.
