Pavalock Congratulates New Homeowners During Habitat for Humanity Dedication

BRISTOL – On April 15th, Representative Cara Pavalock (R-77) joined local officials, volunteers, and guests to celebrate Habitat for Humanity home dedications for two Bristol families, one being a military veteran.

“I offer my sincerest congratulations to the proud new homeowners on this very happy day,” said Rep. Pavalock. “I’m honored to have been part of an effort and volunteered on a project to give back to our community and our veterans who have served our country. Volunteering is a way to show my gratitude to those who have sacrificed so much, and have asked for nothing in return. I wish the families a lifetime of happiness and wonderful memories in their new homes.”
Last summer, Rep. Pavalock rolled up her sleeves for Habitat for Humanity and, along with the other volunteers, helped build two houses in Bristol, just north of Lake Compounce. Also in attendance were representatives of the local businesses who contributed to the efforts of the build, such as ESPN and Thrivent Financial, in addition to family and friends who congratulated the new homeowners as they received the keys to their new homes.
“I would also like thank Greater Bristol Realty Corp, Karraine Moody and Paul Eckstrom for all their hard work on this project,” said Rep. Pavalock.
Habitat for Humanity is a volunteer organization in Connecticut with active branches in the Hartford, New Haven, and New London regions of the state. For more information on volunteer opportunities in the greater Bristol area or to contribute, please visit: www.hartfordhabitat.org.
