    BRISTOL – State Representatives Whit Betts (R-78) and Cara C. Pavalock (R-77), and State Senator Henri Martin (R-31) encourage the residents of Bristol and Plymouth to consider donating to Connecticut’s veterans in need this holiday season.  The legislators today announced that they are co-hosting a Collection for Bristol Veterans event in cooperation with the Errera Community Care Center of the US Department of Veterans Affairs.

    Beginning December 1st, residents can drop their donated items off at the collection bin located at Bristol City Hall, 111 North Main Street.  The collection event will run through December 15th.

    ITEMS NEEDED:
    Clothes:  may include medium to 3x-large t-shirts, new socks, new undergarments (men and women), jeans and pants (all sizes) shoes, boots, winter hats, gloves and gently used coats.
    Comfort items (new): may include new travel size shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bar soap, shaving cream, disposable razors, baby powder, baby oil, deodorant, toothpaste, lotion, cotton swabs, sanitary napkins, face wash and toothbrushes.  Other comfort items may include: lip balm, denture cream, denture cleaner, brush/comb, and nail file.
    Games: may include doodle art, checkers, word search, Sudoku, and crossword puzzle books.
