I want to inform you that Metro-North Railroad and the Connecticut Department of Transportation have announced their intention to close the New Canaan Branch Line of MNR to pursue a construction project. The New Canaan line will be closed from May 30^th – August 18^th, 2023.

The construction plan intends to replace the tracks and a portion of rail, and replace bridge timbers on 3 bridges, allowing them to lift a current speed restriction. Busing will be provided.
