HARTFORD – State Representative Ben McGorty received his legislative committee assignments on Tuesday from House Republican Leader Themis Klarides. Rep. McGorty will serve on the Judiciary, Environment, and Transportation Committees. House Republican Leader Themis Klarides also named Rep. McGorty an Assistant Republican Leader.
“I want to thank House Republican Leader Themis Klarides for promoting me to be an Assistant Republican Leader,” said Rep. McGorty. “I will continue to work hard this session on behalf of the residents of the 122nd District. We need to move this state in a new direction!”
In an earlier announcement, Rep. McGorty was named the Co-Chair of the Fire and EMS Legislative Caucus. Rep. McGorty was elected in 2014 and will be entering his third term when sworn in on January 9th.
