State Senator Kevin Kelly said, “It was great to see so many students participate in this event. They really researched and identified with the subjects they chose and did a wonderful job.”

State Representative Laura Hoydick said, “All of the students who entered this contest demonstrated great interest in, and significant research on their subjects.  I congratulate these great students on their scholarship, and recognition of the important contributions of so many women in our state’s history.”

State Representative Ben McGorty said, “It’s clear that these students have a meaningful understanding of the important contributions made by women in our state’s history, and it is reflected in their interesting and well-written essays.  I offer my congratulations to all of the entrants, and the winners for their great work.”

The principals, teachers and students of all of the schools along with the legislators thanked The Milford Bank for sponsoring the educational event.
