Rep. Ben McGorty (R-122) attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the expansion of Lafayette Hall at Housatonic Community College in Bridgeport on March 10th.
McGorty, a graduate of Housatonic, joined with other local and state officials for the groundbreaking which begins work on a 47,000 square foot expansion including a new welcome center for student enrollment and registration.

The project also expands HCC’s student library, creates a new science lab and art studio, and expands the academic support center. The project is projected to create 600 new construction jobs over the course of the following year.
