McGorty and Trumbull Legislators Meet With Town Residents

Trumbull State Reps. Ben McGorty (R-122), David Rutigliano (R-123) and Laura Devlin (R-134) co-hosted a Saturday morning ‘Office Hours’ at the Trumbull Library and met with interested town residents.
The Trumbull legislators offered residents who attended an update on legislative activity, answered questions about state issues, and listened to concerns about the community. Some of the issues discussed were Connecticut’s electric rates and how the electric companies bill their customers, transportation and the condition of the existing Metro-North rail lines and legislation on temporary restraining orders.

“As this legislative session ramps up toward addressing some of the most important issues facing the General Assembly this year, getting input from residents about their thoughts on these issues is especially important. I thank those who took the time to come out and share their perspectives with us,” said Rep. McGorty.
Rep. Rutigliano said, “Always great to spend time with local residents who took time out of their beautiful Saturday to meet with us and talk about local and state government, shows me that the people of Trumbull really care about their town and state. When we have these events, I always learn something new and I always leave a better legislator and representative.”
Rep. Devlin said, “I thank everyone who stopped by to share their concerns. It is always a pleasure to talk to constituents and learn about what matters most to them. I will continue to work diligently on their behalf.”
