HARTFORD – During several busy days at the Capitol, Rep. Gale Mastrofrancesco, R-Wolcott, paused recently to take part in two events that honored Connecticut’s veterans and their sacrifices.

Rep. Mastrofrancesco took part in the unveiling of a new plaque in the Capitol concourse for 616 service members from Connecticut who made the ultimate sacrifice while fighting for our country in Vietnam. She joined many veterans who attended the event to showcase the new plaques, which join several other memorials to Connecticut’s veterans.

During the 2024 session, Rep. Mastrofrancesco also requested SJ 6, a resolution that honors veterans of the Vietnam War who were exposed to Agent Orange. the resolution advanced from the Veterans Committee and was awaiting passage by the House and Senate.

Rep. Mastrofrancesco also joined in recognizing Donna Dognin who co-founded the Veterans Strong Community Center in Bristol, which offers services, including legal aid, healthcare and employment assistance, to many of our local veterans (including Wolcott). She joined her House colleagues in presenting Donna with a citation for her twelve years of selfless dedication and tireless support of those who have sacrificed so much for us.
