Alzheimer’s Association November Caregiver Month Programs

November is National Alzheimer’s Awareness Month and the Connecticut Chapter is promoting several virtual events for families and their caregivers that I’d like to make you aware of.

November 4 at 4 PM ► Safety and Memory Challenges

November 10 at 1:30 PM ► Living WIth Alzheimer’s: For Late-Stage Caregivers – This program will meet on November 10 and November 17.

November 10 at 6 PM ► Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia: Caregiver Tips For The Holidays

Special Program – November 12 at 10 AM ► Alzheimer’s Treatment Options: Pharmacological & Non-Pharmacological Approaches

Special Program – November 16 at 6 PM ► Los cuidados y las celebraciones de fin de año: consejos para quienes cuidan a un ser querido con demencia – (Caring For Your Loved One During The Holidays)

November 16 at 6 PM ► Effective Communication Strategies

November 17 at 6 PM ► Understanding & Responding to Dementia-Related Behavior

Special Program – November 18 at 4 PM ► Dementia Conversations With A Caregiver Panel Discussion – Featuring a Q&A with Carol Mack, former caregiver and Alzheimer’s Association Volunteer.

November 30 at 12 PM ► Effective Communication Strategies
