Interstate 395 Roadwork Advisory

The following is from the Connecticut Department of Transportation-

 

Safety Improvement Project on I-395 in Killingly, Putnam and Thompson

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a safety improvement project will be performed on I-395 northbound and southbound in Killingly, Putnam and Thompson.

The project consists of installing guide rail on I-395 northbound and southbound at various locations in Killingly, Putnam and Thompson.  This project is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, through Friday, July 22, 2022. 

No work will be performed on Friday, July 1 through Tuesday, July 5, 2022, due to the Fourth of July holiday. 

This work is being performed by Total Fence, LLC.  The vendor shall supply the Call-Before-You-Dig number for these locations.

 

LANE CLOSURE INFO:

Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on I-395 northbound and southbound at various locations in Killingly, Putnam and Thompson.  State police, crash attenuator vehicles, and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday – Friday).

 Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
