Retire Your Worn American Flags May 24 to June 11

With the summer season and patriotic holidays such as Memorial Day, Flag Day and the Fourth of July on the horizon, it is the perfect time to properly retire your worn, faded and tattered American flags as you prepare to put on fresh new displays of the Stars and Stripes.
In cooperation with the American Legion, there will be two locations that residents can drop off their worn American flags for proper ceremonial disposal according to the U.S. Flag Code. Drop-off locations will receive flags from May 24th until June 11th.
The drop-off locations are:
- East Haddam Town Hall, 1 Plains Road, East Haddam, CT
- East Hampton Town Hall, 1 Community Drive, East Hampton, CT
