EAST HAMPTON – State Representative Irene Haines (R-34) celebrated Read Across America Day on Monday, March 2nd by reading “Sometimes you Fly” by Katherine Applegate and “The Invisible Boy” by Trudy Ludwig to Ms. Mazzotta’s fourth grade class at East Hampton Center Elementary School. Read Across America Day is an annual tradition promoting early childhood literacy and celebrating Dr. Seuss’ birthday.
“It was a joy reading to Ms. Mazzotta’s bright and engaged students,” said Rep. Haines. “Read Across America Day is a wonderful celebration of reading and helps inspire a lifelong love for learning and literacy.”
