    I’m sharing some news from DOT that might impact your commute:

    Pipe Replacement on Mt. Parnassus Rd. in East Haddam – Detour Required

    The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a metal pipe replacement project on State Service Route 434 (Mt. Parnassus Road) in East Haddam with a Road Closure and Detour, beginning Tuesday and Wednesday, August 13-14, 2019.

    DETOUR INFO:

    The following detour will be implemented while work is being performed on State Service Route 434 (Mt. Parnassus Road) in East Haddam:  Eastbound motorists will be directed to use Route 82 and back onto State Service Route 434 (Mt. Parnassus Road).

    Westbound motorists will follow the reverse route. State traffic control personnel, crash attenuator vehicles, variable message boards, and signing patterns will be utilized to guide the motorists through the detour. The detour is scheduled to be in place from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

    Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
