EAST HAMPTON – State Representative Irene Haines (R-34) hosted an open conversation about education policy at the East Hampton Public Library on Tuesday night, January 29th.
Rep. Haines commented, “I am thankful for everyone who took the time to share their thoughts at our Education Conversation in East Hampton and previous ones in East Haddam. Work in the Education Committee is getting underway and we are beginning to consider bill proposals. You can follow the legislation before the committee on the General Assembly website at www.cga.ct.gov/ed. Please stay in touch throughout the session to share your views.”
Constituents including; parents, teachers, Board of Education members and concerned citizens offered their concerns about budget requirements, state mandates, classroom safety and curriculum.
