    Dear Friends and Neighbors,

    I’m sharing some news from DOT that might impact your commute;

    Stone Box Culvert Repair on Route 151 in East Hampton and Haddam

    The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a culvert repair will be performed on Route 151, in East Hampton and Haddam, beginning, Saturday, May 18, 2019.

    The work is  scheduled to begin Saturday, May 18, 2019 and be completed Sunday, May 19, 2019.

    LANE CLOSURE INFO

    Motorists can expect a road closure on Rt. 151 in East Hampton from Route 66 to Route 196. The detour will direct motorists around Route 151 from Route 66 onto Route 16 onto Route 196 back to Route 151 on the south side. Traffic control personnel, variable message boards, and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists around the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

    Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
