HARTFORDState Representatives Anne Dauphinais (R-44), and Doug Dubitsky (R-47) are inviting constituents and concerned citizens to a Coffee & Conversation forum on Saturday, May 15th from 8:00 – 9:00 A.M. Constituents are urged to attend and discuss the 2023 legislative session, along with any state issues of importance. Plainfield First Selectman Kevin Cunningham will also be in attendance. Coffee will be provided.

Northeastern Connecticut Republican Delegation Supports Public Hearing to Eliminate the Highway Use Tax

HARTFORD—Connecticut House Republicans have used a parliamentary procedure to circumvent Democrat opposition to a bill that would save inflation-weary businesses and residents money by eliminating the new highway use tax (HUT) on heavyweight trucks. The HUT creates an additional burden on the trucking industry and Connecticut residents in general who are already suffering from the impacts of inflation.
