Rep. Delnicki Participates in Read Across America Day

SOUTH WINDSOR- State Representative Tom Delnicki (R-14) visited Eli Terry Elementary School on Thursday morning to celebrate Read Across America Day.
The school designated this week as Reading Week complete with a week-long school ‘Book Fair’ to teach children the importance and joy of reading.
“I want to thank the students and teachers at Eli Terry for inviting me to their class, said Rep. Delnicki. “I enjoyed reading to Miss Likar’s 5th grade class, it was fun.”
The National Education Association launched Read Across America in 1998 as a year-round program to celebrate reading. Given Dr. Seuss’ impact on the reading world, his birthday (March 2) was declared Read Across America Day. This also commences Read Across America Week and Read Across America Month.
