Torrington Christian Academy Visits Capitol

HARTFORD – Students from Torrington Christian Academy were at the Capitol on Wednesday, February 21. The group, comprised of 4th and 5th graders, toured the entire Capitol Complex, including the Legislative Office Building. The group had the opportunity to observe legislative meetings and met with State Rep. Jay Case in the House Chamber. Rep. Case explained to the group how new state laws are made and how each legislator casts their votes. “It’s wonderful to see such engaged students. I really appreciated their visit and I look forward to seeing them again soon. They’re always welcome to swing by or contact me about any ideas they have to make Connecticut a better place to live,” said Case.
