Case Earns 100% Voting Record Score from CT Business & Industry Association

Hartford – On Wednesday the Connecticut Business & Industry Association (CBIA) released its 2024 voter record scores for the Connecticut State House and Senate. Its scores were based on action taken on several priority pieces of legislation that had been flagged by the organization because of their expected impact on various business sectors. According to CBIA’s legislative record report, State Rep. Jay Case (R-Winsted) completed the 2024 session with a perfect score, signaling his support and advocacy effort in favor of the state’s business community.
“Connecticut’s businesses are what strengthen the economy and provide so much to our community and the surrounding areas. I appreciate that the CBIA took into account several important votes this session to comprise a score that shows where each legislator lands in support of their local businesses. I enjoy visiting and frequenting establishments throughout the 63rd District, which is a big reason why I am so lucky to represent the Northwest Corner,” said Case.
Throughout the 2024 session, Case was recognized for his opposition to costly mandates, and his support of programs that will increase entrepreneurship and provide resources to working families.
“While we have made great strides in supporting businesses, there is more to be done to make our state’s workforce more inclusive. As the implementation of last year’s legislation to promote workforce opportunities to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities continues to go into effect, I am working with vulnerable populations to make sure they have a chance to apply their skillset in a workplace setting,” said Case, who serves as the Ranking Member to the legislature’s Human Services Committee.
