Tonight, the House voted unanimously in favor of a tourism bill I co-sponsored to help businesses within the tourism industry fill much needed vacant employment opportunities.
The bill, through the use of a task force, will conduct a study to determine the shortage of employees in this industry and not only determine a way to advertise these opportunities, but also review the most efficient, cost-effective, and reliable transportation available to individuals seeking these opportunities.
This bill will go a long way in helping the tourism industry in each of the three regional tourism districts (Eastern, Central, and Western) who have suffered as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
