Today, the House debated the reappointment of Marissa Gillett, Chairwoman of Connecticut’s Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA). With the second highest electricity costs in the country, we need to take a serious look at not only getting these rates under control, but also coming up with sustainable long-term solutions that protect our ratepayers.
Having served in the position for several years without much in the way of change, I felt we needed to move in a new direction, and I could not support her reappointment.
