Rep. Carney, MacLachlan Tour Maple Breeze Farm in Westbrook

WESTBROOK- Westbrook legislators, State Representatives Devin Carney and Jesse MacLachlan recently toured the newly-added sugarhouse at the Maple Breeze Farm located at 563 East Pond Meadow Road in Westbrook.
Maple Breeze Farm, which is owned and operated by John and Bonnie Hall, supplies a range of USDA-inspected beef and pork products, along with maple syrup.

“The Halls do a wonderful job for our community by providing all-natural meat and dairy products and maple syrup. Farms, like Maple Breeze, help sustain Connecticut’s agri-business and local economy, so it’s important that the state supports them and their efforts in providing fresh food to our residents,” said Carney who represents Lyme, Old Lyme, Old Saybrook and a portion of Westbrook.
“The Maple Breeze Farm is a historic landmark in Westbrook, and I am excited to see them continue to expand and provide new organic products to area residents,” said Rep. MacLachlan. “As a state, we need to help our local farmers and maple producers by creating a strong economic and business-friendly environment. We also need to recognize that maple producers are deep-rooted in Connecticut history. I am currently working to get legislation passed to designate the Month of March as Connecticut Maple Month.”
John and Bonnie Hall are proud members of Connecticut Farm Bureau. John has been on the board of directors for Middlesex County for over 15 years, and currently serves on the executive board of directors. John is President of the American Milking Devon Cattle Association.
