With recent news about the drought and its impacts on water systems in our communities, I want to share an update with you that I received from Connecticut Water. Customers in the shoreline communities of Guilford, Madison, Clinton, Westbrook and Old Saybrook are being placed on a Water Supply Watch as of Monday, October 17, and are being asked to voluntarily reduce their water usage by 15%. Our water resources along the Connecticut shoreline have been most affected by the continuing drought and the higher summer demands this year.
