    Governor Lamont Announces Phase 3

    Yesterday, Governor Lamont Announced Phase 3 is set to take effect on Thursday, October 8.

    Phase 3 Business Updates include:

    • Increase from 50 percent to 75 percent capacity indoors – subject to COVID-19 safety requirements – for restaurants, personal services, hair salons, barber shops, and libraries;
    • Outdoor event venues (e.g. amphitheaters, race tracks, etc.) will increase from 25 percent to 50 percent capacity with masks and social distancing requirements;
    • Indoor performing arts venues will be able to open at 50 percent capacity with masks and social distancing requirements; and
    • Bars and nightclubs will continue to remain closed

    Nighttime Repairs to Baldwin Bridge in Old Saybrook

    This Friday and Saturday night (September 25-26), the Department of Transportation will be conducting deck end repairs on the I-95 Northbound portion of the Baldwin Bridge in Old Saybrook. The regular work schedule for this project is from 10:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m.

    During these updates, motorists can expect lane closures to the high speed and center lanes from Exit 67 to Route 154 off ramp to Exit 70 to Route 156 off ramp and Route 9 Southbound from Exit 2 to I-95 northbound.

    Traffic control vehicles and signing patters will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. Motorists are also advised to maintain a safe speed while traveling through this area.
